MT. PECA RIDES
We start with a single track straight from our Bike Base. After that we have about 1 hour biking on fire roads and local tarmac roads in Austria to the slopes of Peca Mountain.
There we load bikes and ourselves in a cable car, which takes us all the way up to 1.700 m above see level, where we reach the highest point off this day. After a bit of rest, a drink or a small snack and a lot of scenic views on the area of our Mountain bike park, we descend down on single tracks and fire roads back to Slovenia. Before we reach the border, and after that our lunch point, we will have to deal with some climbs and some amazing single trails. Our lunch will be taking place at a nice mountain hut, situated near a church of Saint Helena. Sitting on the terrace, perched on the edge of a great view, we could enjoy a meal off traditional miners food. Here is the beginning of our epic ridge single trail which take us with some uphill’s in between down to the valley. From there we have shuttle back to our base.
VALLEY OF DEATH
A short technical ride. starting with few km of steep gravel road uphill, with a nice meadow on top. From there we start descending on a nice mud road changing in a great narrow single track. After short technical section we pop out on a gorgeous meadow track with marvellous view over Črna village wrapped in surrounding valleys. Back in forest, 100m of steep technical climb and out again to see peaks of mountains in the area. At the end on a open hill single track ridge ride down to town Črna. This final descent is truly breathtaking – pictures of this trail are on the cover of our brochure and have featured in the mountain bike press too, it is that good and that scenic.

UNDERGROUND BIKING*
From village Črna we reach entrance to what we call underground fantasy world. This incredible ride takes almost two hours and is led by trained underground biking guide. You’ll be issued with a caving light to fit under your helmet and then, we’ll head into the dark. Along the way there are places where we stop to explore the caverns and old mine workings. It is night riding but not as you’ve ever experienced it, and even though it is not technical mountain biking this unique ride is truly memorable.
On the other side of the mountain, when we come out again, we could climb 2 km on very step dirt road to the beginning of one of our best single trails down to small town Mežica. This tour ends in mining museum where you will be able to see a makets, maps, tools and equipment used by miners and very nice collection of minerals from the mine.
* Underground tour we combine with some of other rides depending on weather, or wishes of the group.
HUNTERS TRAIL
After about 4 km ride up from our Bike Base, we come to a nice single track almost 9 km long down to valley of river Meža. In front of us comes about 10 km of slowly ascending uphill on a dirt panoramic road, passing famous churches of Leše, build by miners and farmers, going on pass Lenart churh with a great legend behind to tell. After climbing on fire road we have short technical uphill where most will be pushing the bikes, but when we come to the top we will see that is totally worth it. At the top we will have an opening to see the mountains around and the ridges where we will be riding later. All the climbing in the morning will pay off when we hit the single track on the scenic ridge some off chambers and mystic snake track which is about 7 km long all the way back down to the valley.
GREEN VULCANO
A short morning transfer, or optional fire road climb, brings us to the eastern edge of the Savinjske Alpe. This unique ridge of mini summits ranging from 1200m-1600m makes for an amazing day of mountain biking as we travel almost its entire length from East to West. Today’s ride gets us back into ancient woodlands on some fabulous trails. There is singletrack galore with plenty of roots, shoots and thrilling descents to keep everyone interested. We could stop for lunch at an impressive viewpoint – a farm where the lime tree is reputed to be over 700 years old, making it the oldest in the country. From here the descent off the ridge takes in some twisting trails which cut down through dense, natural forest and occasionally pops out into open meadows for some cracking views. We finish in the Bistra Valley for a fast blast back to Črna where shuttle will be waiting for us to take us back to base.

PANORAMA TOUR
After the days with fast flowing single tracks we now head out for possibly the most amazing scenic journey in this part of The Alps. Again we transfer upwards to cut out some of the leg work, starting our ride at the highest farm in Slovenia. The biking first brings us around the slopes of Mount Olseva. It’s exciting in places with high speed descents on loose tracks.
You have to remind yourself to look up now and again to enjoy the views across the ridgelines to little churches perched on the hillsides, or the craggy peaks at the end of the Logarska Valley. Lunch is taken at a little farm where everything is made on the
premises. Once we’re stuffed we can blast down the long descent to the valley floor to ride across a dried riverbed then on to the sweet single track of the Logarska Nature trail. This pops us out right in the heart of the valley, amongst cows with jangling bells chewing on alpine pastures. Diving in to a café we enjoy some cold beers in the sunshine while bikes are loaded for the drive back to the base.
